New Additions to the Aquarium

Today we added another 39 lbs. of live rock:

Since our water readings have been perfect for 10 days straight, we also decided to go
ahead and test adding some crabs to our marine environment. Even tho you're really supposed to wait at least a month to let the aquarium cycle before adding any marine life to it. We chose 2 emerald mithrax crabs; we named them Pete & Repeat - ha! Pete & Repeat will eat the bubble algae along with cleaning up other things we don't want in the tank.

We'll see how they affect the water levels and also how they will cope with it. This will be a good test of how well we're doing with our tank, how adding marine life will affect it, and whether or not we might be able to add more anytime soon!

Water Readings 3/22/10:
PH - 8.2
Ammonia - 0 PPM
Nitrite - 0 PPM
Nitrate - 0 PPM
Temp. - 78° F
